Every Heartache & Every Praise

In my life I have gone through many seasons. Some were very good seasons and some were not so good, but I want to tell you why all those seasons were so important with my walk with Christ. Right now I am in a wonderful new and fun season of life. I recently got married, I found a job that I am passionate about, and my husband and I just bought our first home. All these great things would have not happened the way they happened without God’s faithfulness. I want to encourage you to not forget God’s faithfulness in your life. As humans we can become forgetful, but I guarantee you, you wouldn't forget God’s faithfulness if you took a second to look back at all the blessings, all the miracles that have happened in your life, because God’s faithfulness was in every inch of every storm, every heartache, and every praise. The Lord is always with us and if we put our whole trust in him, his faithfulness will always surpass all of our needs. The Bible says in Psalms 33:4, “For the word of the Lord is right and true; he is faithful in all he does.” The Lord is faithful in all he does in your life. He is even faithful in the hard times.

I want to tell you of some of my moments where God’s Faithfulness shined bright in my life. For starters, my now husband and our relationship is an action of God’s faithfulness. When my husband and I started dating we had a pretty big obstacle to overcome throughout our relationship. It is this little thing called long distance; he is originally from Illinois and I am from Georgia. We had met at a christian summer camp in Georgia where we were both counselors. After we decided we wanted to have a relationship we had to face a long distance relationship as he was still living in illinois. Long distance is nothing short of hard, I probably could fill a pool worth of tears the amount times a cried having to be apart. Even though we would one day be married and never have to be long distance again, I have to tell you it wasn't just love that kept us together, it was God’s faithfulness in our relationship that led us to where we are today. Looking back, I forget all the times God intervened in our favor for our relationship, and now after being married for 6 months, I needed to remind myself that through God’s faithfulness in our lives he has led us to this point now. This thought of forgetting God’s faithfulness in your life has weighed heavy on me, because I have been so blessed in every season of my life, good or bad God always had my back.

The Bible says in Isaiah 25:1, “Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done wonderful things, things planned long ago.”

This verse explains the fact that the Lord knows already what season you're in, you were in, or going to be in all you have to do it trust in his faithfulness. I challenge you to look back on your life from the past 3-5 years and remember all the elements in your life where the Lord has been faithful. Hold on to those memories, because I know he hasn't forgotten about you and his plans for you. He loves you so much all you have to do is trust in his faithfulness in your life.
